Home Warranties are often offered by sellers to buyers of their homes. They offer a buyer protection on their new home in case something goes wrong in the first year of ownership. The cost of home warranties range from about $400-$600 and usually cover the home a year from the date of purchase. The majority of home warranties cover plumbing , electrical , heating and air conditioner, as well as water heaters. Some even cover appliances, roofs, septic systems and swimming pools. All are different and it is recommended that you read the fine print to make sure you understand what is covered and what is not.
